Tomb of Annihilation (Session 10)

  The party leave the Emerald Enclaves hide feeling refreshed and barter for an extra Rain Catcher before leaving on their journey. Heading deeper into the jungle, the steady rain a constant companion the party are surprised to see a Giant Constrictor Snake dart out a tree tearing into Thavakean. Taking it in his stride the group quickly rallies throwing Rays of Frost, Sacred Flames and Chromatic Orbs into the unfortunate animal. Even Inete steps forward to heal up Thavakean before beheading the snake as it struggles to  slither away with frost covering it's writhing form. That evening dark whispers in the forest leave the party on edge and despite searching around they find no sign of anyone... A couple of days travel later the party find themselves near the River Soshenstar again and they realise they got turned round a bit.   The party sit down and think on their options and decide to hire Eku. To make it more affordable though they decide to take Inete up on her request to head to the Aldini Basin and use the 100gp towards the guide hire. Spending the rest of the day making final preparations, stocking up on supplies and enjoying a final civilised bath. The first few days of travel are fairly easy going with only the occasional Chultan spotted as they approach the River Soshenstar's exit. On the third night they make camp in a spot clearly used by other travellers and spot a scrap of red cloth. Drag marks show a boat was banked here recently but are long gone now. Could this be signs of the Red Wizards? A heavy mist descends on the fourth day but the party guided by Eku and Thavakean make good progress. They decide to cross the river to the West bank and Undril is nearly swept away!
