Tomb of Annihilation (Session 12)

  The camp up for the night then finish exploring the camp. A small burned down shrine to Torm being the only thing of note they decide to explore the house of the man and crocodile. Thavakean takes the lead and nearly drops down a 20' deep pit! Remembering the wooden boats and jetty outside they soon make a bridge to cross safely. The next problem they come across is a blade trap. After getting slashed horribly Thavakean manages to jam up part of the wall reducing the blades swinging in but the trap remains active. Undril follows behind as Thavakean climbs a ledge and Alyssia gets Solus to scout the path ahead. As Alyssia moves in and nearly dies, Undril heals her and lifts her up to pass to Thavakean above without triggering anything. The party soon recall the tale of Man & Crocodile and start carrying each other on their backs. The bizarre move works and they find they don't trigger anything climbing up to the next ledge. The silhouettes soon resolve into a flock Pteranodons! As they soar in to attack the party they move quickly to intercept. Alyssia roasts 3 as they swoop in with her Burning Hands and as one dodges the brunt of the blast is swoops into Crumb jaws as the Allosaurus tears it out the sky. Thavakean joins them slashing away as the rest of the Pteranodons dive bomb into the party attacking Orion and Undril. Between multiple Sacred Flames from their entourage, Alyssia & Orion slinging spells and Thavakean's mighty blade they soon scatter the Pteranodons. The ones that didn't flee soon fill Crumb up and the party continue their journey. A foggy day leads to some slow travel and the lack of water takes it's toll. Thavakean offers his share suffering exhaustion but protecting the party. Relief arrives with the following days rain and finally across the river they spot their destination; Camp Righteous!
