Tomb of Annihilation (Session 3)

Our adventurers finally reach Chult & Port Nyanzaru! Greeted at the dock by a half gold dragon named Zindar. Zindar is the Harbourmaster and while taking Captain Ortimay's docking fees chats to the party and after Ortimay mentions the pirates Zindar tells them there's bounty for bringing the pirate ships and Captains in. A Tabaxi approaches them as they walk onto the harbour proper asking for a gold he needs to make abet and offers to show them about a bit. Alyssia agrees paying the Tabaxi who shows them some of the city. Port Nyanzaru is an explosion of colour and activity and they are soon shown some of it's sites. Xandala leaves the party but gives a malfunctioning Sending Stone to Alyssia saying it can send but not receive but to let her know if any sign of Artus and she'll reward them. The bathhouse proves to be a popular option after spending about a month in the cargo hold of an increasingly stuffy ship. After cleansing the ocean from them the party heads to the cheaper Inn known as the Thundering Lizard. The owner Emeka is able to get them lodgings, food and furnish them with some details about the Princes and passers by. He also mentions the famous Volo is holding a book signing tomorrow. They also find the notice board advertising guides and even a dinosaur race!
While Saralon rested up, Orion and Undril head to the Temple of Savras meeting Grandfather Zitembe. A trio of shady men leave just as they arrive apparently also looking for Artus. Zitembe is convinced of the danger this "Death Curse" poses and agrees to consult the guides which will take 24 hours. Orion asks after her old friend Theo and is directed to an acolyte named Inete. They soon find Inete and discover from her that 7 months ago Theo came out of the jungle after getting some guidance from the temple, did some research and then returned back to the jungle. He was looking for some wise sage and visions Inete had were pointed to the West. Inete also mentions she had another vision of red robed wizards in the Aldani Basin in the South West and wishes to travel to investigate offering 100 gold for the expedition. Meanwhile Thavakean and Alyssia visit the Colosseum discovering they can make some money fighting. Qualifying fights are the next day and Thavakean swiftly puts down the 5gp entry and Alyssia enjoying a good "fisticuff" decides to join too. Eventually after getting lost a bit in the city Orion & Undril come across the Temple of Sune. The Worshippers take pity on them both and usher them inside before thrusting a full beauty session on them. Several hours later of pampering they stumble into the inn. Thavakean thinks their war paint is strange and offers to show them the proper way later. The two ladies turn many heads before heading to bed.

  As Orion wonders how to respond to the guard saying it's Camp Vengeance Undril steps forth, "I am Undril Silvertusk, sent to support the Order of the Gauntlet". With that declaration there is some excited chatter at the gatehouse and some cheers of "reinforcements are here!" as the party are allowed inside - except Crumb who the guards insist must stay outside. As the party enter inside they are greeted by Captain Perne Salhana. She seems glad the party is here and tells them many are sick and wounded. The hopes of nice rest are dashed as they realise the camp is in a sorry state. Commander Niles Breakbone steps out from his Command Tent hearing the talking outside muttering something about the Order letting anyone in these days then starts barking orders for the Captain to get them set to work before returning to his tent. Tomb of Annihilation (Session 18)

  Noting the ice as another mystery of the jungle the party continue on. A heavy mist descends upon the Aldani Basin making visibility drop to only about a dozen feet.  Later in the afternoon as they continue through the Aldani Basin something stirs in the swampy water. Three  Giant Crocodiles come lunging out attacking the party! One of the two remaining Tribal Warriors is torn in half, while Crumb is viciously attacked along with Eku.  The remaining warrior rushed forward plunging his spear into the Crocodile attacking Eku and ducking a tail swipe from the creature. As Thavakean explodes with rage, shadowy tendrils lash out at all the Crocodiles as he brings his axe down on the one attacking his faithful dinosaur.  Meanwhile Inete retreats over to Orion who is blasts away at the one clutching Eku with a Scorching Ray. Tomb of Annihilation (Session 19)

  After the shocked servant finishes screaming and the guards have been calmed down by Thavakean showing off his Dinosaur Race medal they find themselves in Wakanga's company once more. They update Wakanga that they still haven't found the Construct but have a lead. They also find out he could help transport them back to Valindra's Teleportation Circle when they head back out. After a bath Alyssia heads to Wakangas shop to barter. It doesn't go terrifically well but she does make a deal to spend a few days making scrolls to earn some money.  Meanwhile Thavakean finds a way to earn a bit more by heading back to the Colosseum. Taking on 4 panthers they initially knock him down biting into the mighty Goliath. He stands back up though and in a rage of exploding shadow proceeds to cut them down one at a time.
